KYC’s distance races welcome sailboats and paddle craft. The format is simple: register, follow the course and report your finishing time.

Passage Island Race

From the KYC float, head out to Passage Island, round the island and return to the club.

Lawrance Cup

An out-and-back race from KYC to the Point Grey Bell Buoy (Q62), open to sailboats and paddle craft.

The 2026 race required registration, with no entry fee.

Good company after racing

After racing, head back to the clubhouse to catch up with fellow sailors and paddlers.Post-race social typically includes a BBQ and drinks from the bar. Check the event information for social plans, tickets and volunteer opportunities.
